Commercial Leaders must lead by example, and have the ability to impact and influence their teams and the wider business. Other department leaders like Finance / Customer Service / Product, are often misaligned with Commercial and don't take accountability to support them. So often I hear "Achieving revenue targets sits solely with Sales" and "We're launching a new product - Sales need to hit the targets we've set". Have the Product Team met your customers recently?
